stephanie and johan are my jam.

we skyped a few days before their wedding and they gave me a thumbs-up on my new snapback hat. (thanks, guys.) i got hugs all around when they arrived for getting ready photos.

johan was singing chainsmokers under his breath as i rode with him in the golf cart to their first look location. he told me everyone had been asking him if he was nervous and he wondered if it was ok that he wasn't.

family had flown in from sweden, where johan moved from before starting college at st. norberts.

i asked stephanie if johan would cry when she walked down the aisle, to which she laughed, saying in their six years together, she had never seen him cry. (spoiler: the cryers are never the ones you'd expect.)

to being your "serenity" on your wedding day (what kind words from you, s, as it was my pleasure); spending time on the dance floor with the both of you; to getting to know your dear families, both from different parts of the globe (even you, eric!); to talking politics with swedes and canadians until the last song, and then regrouping for don't stop believing; and to your thoughtful text the morning after your wedding. i don't say it lightly when i tell you that you were some of my favorite people to work with in 2016.
